Sydney Meet 2022

Mountain Keyboards recently had it’s 1 year anniversary in August! This last weekend I attended my first meet up as a vendor, having attended many as an enthusiast I am glad I was able to attend this one and sell some goodies. The event was fantastic, with over 400 people turning out and many activities to see it couldn’t have been better. On the day I used a Shopify POS hardware device that integrated with my phone to handle orders, this worked quite well with only one drop out throughout the whole day. Choosing items to bring to an event like this is always hard, you want to bring things that you can sell easily and that catch the eye....

Q2 2022 Financial Statistics

Earlier this year I posted a blog on my analytics for my first quarter of operating as a business. I thought, here is the second quarter. If you wanted to check out the previous blog it’s available here. Unfortunately I’ve not currently ran the numbers on my profits, but hopefully at some point I’ll be able to show that. Total Sales For the first quarter of this year, I sold just under $46,000 in goods (note: this includes the shipping, taxes and refunds of orders removed). If you wanted to check out the previous blog it’s available here. Unfortunately I’ve not currently ran the numbers on my profits, but hopefully at some point I’ll be able to show that. Why? I covered this in the previous blog above, but basically because I find it fascinating and figure why not share it. Total Sales For the first quarter of this year, I sold a just under $21,500 in goods (note: this includes the shipping, taxes and refunds of orders removed). Comparing this to my last blog, it looks like I’ve...

2021 Sales Analytics

When I started Mountain Keyboards one of the things I wanted to do as a company was to share the financial side of the business to the best of my ability. I started selling goods in August of 2021 so really this blog should be “5 months of financial data”. Unfortunately I can’t reveal everything regarding costs of products as that could cause potential problems for other vendors/suppliers. Why? I’ve always been someone who is absolutely fascinated with business and money. There’s something about financial information that just gets my brain ticking. Being able to share and discuss information around this topic brings me great joy, whether it is talking about stocks, bank account interest or credit cards, I love...

Covid19 Shipment Delays

Howdy! You might have noticed that shipping prices on the store are through the roof, or that there's a disclaimer when you're trying to order. Unfortunately, I have come down with symptoms that may be Covid 19. I'm in a household with 2 confirmed cases and hoped I could escape its grasp. I will be taking a test in the next few days when the others in my household take their final test. I've recently learnt that it can be transmitted via surfaces and as such there is a chance, however small, that I could transfer it to you whilst I pack your order or to the various people that touch the package during delivery. I don't think it's right for...
