What good are keyboards without a fancy artisan keycap on it?
Both of these keycaps are R1 profile keycaps made from recycled aluminium. These were made as a test to see how the quality is when using recycled aluminium. We are very happy with the results and we haven't found any defects on the keycaps at all.
There are two separate keycaps here that are available, the blue "Mountain Keyboards" keycap and the red "For Good" keycap.
The "Mountain Keyboards" keycap is just a blue keycap with the company logo cnc'd out of it. Buying this keycap supports the company.
The "For Good" keycap is just a blank red keycap. For every purchase of the keycap, we will donate the full purchase amount to the NSW Food Bank. We will cover the cost of making the keycap and all the other fees involved. Every keycap sold will provide an emergency hamper to an aussie in crisis. You get a cool keycap with a story and know that you helped out someone in need.
Disclaimer: These keycaps are slightly smaller than regular R1 keycaps, please check pictures before buying. The other keycaps in picture are R1 JTK Cherry keycaps.
Donation will be made and made public shortly after they sell out or within a week or two.
What do we get out of the "For Good" keycap?
"Fair question, not a lot honestly, each keycap costs us around $10 without additional fees to get made and shipped. I've always just believed that the best thing you can do when you're in a fortunate position is to give to those who need a hand. There's a lot of people in a rough spot at the moment and with your help we should be able to provide some hampers for them." - 0ldMate
